The High Seer Competition Updates

I can't tell you how surreal it is that The High Seer has received a warm reception in a few competitions. I entered to get a little exposure, but was not expecting my debut to do well. I learned a ton by publishing this book, and again with the novella, and am really excited to apply all those lessons to Book 2. Here is some news about how The High Seer is doing in a few competitions. 

2024 NATIONAL INDIE EXCELLENCE AWARD FANTASY WINNER

The High Seer was selected as the NIEA fantasy category winner! 

READER'S FAVORITE 5 STAR RATING

The High Seer was awarded a FIVE STAR rating in the Reader's Favorite Awards! Winners will be announced in September, but I am so honored to have received a positive review! 

INDIES TODAY 5 STAR RATING

The High Seer was awarded a FIVE STAR rating in the Indies Today Discovery Awards! Winners to be announced in February.  

SELF PUBLISHED FANTASY BLOG-OFF 

The Self-Published Fantasy Blog Off (SPFBO) held a random lottery to select which books would be considered. Out of 595 entries, 300 were selected. The High Seer lucked out! Zack Argyle graciously put a visual together of all 300 book covers and which group they were allocated to. My blog for SPFBO is Phillip Chase. If you're interested in watching the competition and listening to reviews, the link is above. This group is having judges select semi-finalists (and my assigned judge is Geaux Read Books). While my TBR is already too long, I'm loving finding new underrated fantasy books to fall in love with.

Katherine D. Graham hosted a series of SPFBO-X interviews, and I was lucky enough to participate in one. This is my first author interview, and I was not sure what to expect but Katherine did a wonderful job at making us all feel very welcome and comfortable. Learn more about our books!
